        The 8th International Conference on Gas Hydrates (ICGH) was held at the China National Convention Centre, Beijing. The international conference would last from 28 July to 1 August 2014. More than 700 experts and representatives from 28 countries in the field of Gas Hydrates have been conducting extensive and in-depth exchange of views and discussions, focusing on the theme: Opportunity and Challenge-Development and Utilization of Gas Hydrates.

         

        The 8th ICGH program will cover all facets of gas hydrate, including fundamentals, natural systems, energy, environmental impacts, and flow assurance. It will demonstrate how gas hydrate knowledge and applications contribute directly to meeting societal and industrial needs through innovation in energy- and safety-based industries. Gas hydrate research betters our understanding on mitigation of climate change and geo-hazards.
